In a follow up published today, IKEA shows how the garment could actually look on some male models if you make one based on its "Skold" fur.

Although it was revealed the Westeros cloaks were actually cut up and dyed Ikea rugs past year, the tidbit made the rounds online last week.

Last week, the costume designer for the first five seasons of Game of Thrones, Michele Clapton, revealed that capes worn by the Night's Watch are actually made from Ikea rugs.

But if you're struggling to really commit to the fantasy, and need something real to hold on to, never fear - you don't need to buy an Ikea rug and craft it into Jon's cape, because someone's created a Game of Thrones inspired dildo for you.

Costume designer Michele Clapton made the revelation during a talk at the Getty Center in Los Angeles previous year.


Ikea staff have even entered in to the fun last week by dressing up as Night's Watch soldiers - complete with the rug capes.

"I want the audience to nearly smell the costumes", she added, "They were waxed and frosted so they belong to the landscape".

While it's summer right now, winter is here on Game of Thrones. Her solution: utilizing the furniture retailer's rugs.

As Clapton revealed, they were cut and shaven before being used on the show, and the team added leather straps to them.

Game of Thones is renowned for its intricate costumes. I want the audience to nearly smell the costumes. "Here they were waxed and frosted so they belonged to the landscape".
