Capcom has released a third story trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite today, along with confirming the game's various modes and four more characters to the roster.

The answer isn't anything audiences haven't already surmised, and basically revolves around the heroes needing to acquire the Infinity Stones to stop Ultron Sigma.

New playable characters, including Ghost Rider, Doctor Strange villain Dormammu and Capcom's Jedah, Firebrand and Nemesis from Resident Evil, also make appearances in the trailer. These 4 create a character roster of 30 characters that will each have a hand in the war to come.

Accessible Single Player Content: In addition to the cinematic story experience, players can hone their skills in a variety of accessible single player modes, including Training, Mission and Arcade modes.

Overall, Early impressions of the game so far have been positive, mainly due to the handsome visuals, smooth and enjoyable gameplay, not to mention a slew of characters for Marvel and Capcom fans to grow into. The only way to advance to the boss is to keep on winning, so keep those epic showdowns coming.

The clip, released Thursday, explores the game's story mode and how the title's new pair of villains, Ultron of Avengers fame and Sigma from Mega Man X fuse together to become a more powerful being.

Or, if you're feeling skilled and lucky, there are "advanced character-specific challenges".

You can play against one other friend in local multiplayer, or solo against an AI, both of which can be played offline.

A suite of online modes, including Ranked Match, Casual Match, Beginners League, an 8-player Lobby, leaderboard Rankings and Replay Settings will also feature, offering "free-form" 2v2 team battles and six game-altering Infinity Stones.

Replay Settings - configure replay settings and view replays.

Infinite Power: Pulled from classic Marvel lore, unique and game-changing Infinity Stones can be implemented into players' strategies as a way to influence the outcome of battle.

Personally, we couldn't wait to play more of the game and we suspect fans will also love this smash hit for both Marvel and Capcom when it's released on September 19 later this year on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
