Nigerians must start thanking God for Buhari's safe return - Dogara

Bukola Saraki and the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, met on Thursday with President Muhammadu Buhari, who has been receiving medical attention in the United Kingdom since May 7.

Yakubu Dogara today London on 17th August 2017 visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Abuja House.

"President Buhari appreciates what we (governors) are doing to hold the country together in his absence".

Meanwhile, Yari briefed the forum on its delegation, which recently visited President Muhammadu Buhari in London over his health challenge, and said the president was responding to responding to treatment.

The two National Assembly leaders are the latest set of public officials and politicians to visit the ailing president in London amidst protests back in Nigeria demanding his return or resignation.

PRESIDENT Muhammadu Buhari has praised the thirty- six state governors, saying that they are holding Nigeria together as a country, just as he thanked them for playing such a role.


He also urged Nigerians to continue to pray and offer thanks for answered prayers and for the safe return of the President.

He was followed by state governors and the leadership of All Progressives Congress (APC).

"His health has improved tremendously".

President Buhari on Saturday at the Abuja House in London had received members of his media team, where he reassured them that there was tremendous improvement in his health.

The details of the discussions could not be obtained at the time of this report.

In a statement released by Adesina after the visit, the president stated that he felt that he could return to Nigeria, but was waiting for his doctors to give the final go ahead.
