The Wales worldwide was the subject of terrace taunts again on Sunday as the Santiago Bernabeu boo boys vented their frustration during a 2-2 draw with Valencia.

Cristiano Ronaldo will soon return from injury, and it is as yet unclear whether it is Bale or Asensio who will make way for the World Player of the Year.

Asensio had sent Real Madrid ahead in the 10th minute, but Carlos Soler levelled in the 18th minute, before Geoffrey Kondogbia struck for the impressive visitors 13 minutes from time.

With only a few days remaining in the summer transfer window, it's now or never for the tabloid press in the reporting on the rumour mill.

Next up for Real Madrid is a home game against Levante on September 9.

Speaking after last night's match, Zidane insisted Bale remains in his plans but conceded the Wales global should have done better with his chances.

"He's a key player in the squad".

'Gareth's situation is good. We're going to keep working on this. I'm very happy with their work'.

The Brazilian defender told reporters: "Here everybody has been booed, the Bernabeu is how it is".

'When you get booed you have to work to stop getting booed.

"They (the fans) have a right to boo and ask for improvement to the players, the coach".
