Take a former Texas cheerleader, pair her with a Hunger Games victor, and you have the ideal casting for the crime-fighting duo Dove and Hawk in the new Titans series. "Titans" revolves around "a group of young soon-to-be Super Heroes recruited from every corner of the DC Universe".

Hawk is described as: aka Hank Hall, one half of the crime-fighting, vigilante and romantic couple of Hawk and Dove. Titans is a dramatic, live-action adventure series that will explore and celebrate one of the most popular comic book teams ever.

Titans will be the first original series Warner and DC will create for their own online service and will be written by Akiva Goldsman, DC Entertainment President Geoff Johns, and Arrowverse architect Greg Berlanti. The outlet confirms that Ritchson's role as Hawk is a recurring one, with the option to be bumped to a regular role in the series' second season. Hawk is usually strong while Dove is quick. Ritchson recently starred in Syfy's Blood Drive and played the lead in Blue Mountain State.

Casting began by naming Teagan Croft as Raven, then continued with Anna Diop cast as Starfire, and found their leading man with Brenton Thwaites cast as Dick Grayson. His feature credits include Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire.

Just a week after it was revealed Titans would cast Hawk and Dove, Alan Ritchson has been cast as the former.

Kelly is best known for her role as Lyla Garrity on NBC's Friday Night Lights, and has since been on a bunch of different shows, including Parenthood, The Path and Almost Human.
