On the other hand, Poster Boys featuring Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol did a better job at impressing a lot of fans, as its collection was around Rs 1.80 crores on Friday. However, both the movies didn't do wonders at the box office, but the audience has loved both the flicks. Producer-actor Arjun Rampal has done well in Daddy but audiences haven't really queued up on the opening day to watch what the film has to offer. It was expected to open with Rs 3 crore at the box office but it couldn't even touch Rs 2 crore on its first day.

This Friday, Poster Boys, Daddy, and Stephen King's It hit the Indian theatres, giving movie-goers ample options to choose from.

Bringing in some comic relief to the box office was Poster Boys. The film has beat the collections of Arjun Rampal's Rock On 2, which collected Rs 2.02 crore on its opening day.

"The film is well made and shall do well in Maharashtra but elsewhere Gawli's story not being too known becomes a limitation for the film to do well", said film trade analyst Atul Mohan. Here's hoping there's a +ve turnaround before day ends. The actor's resemblance to the gangster turned politician Arun Gawli is truly striking.

Daddy traces the life of Arun Gulab Gawli, one of the most notorious gangsters of Mumbai underworld who went on to wield huge political clout in the southern part of Maximum City.

Daddy, which is helmed by Ashim Ahluwalia, will have Arjun essaying a real-life character on screen for the first time. "Thanks to the Deol brothers, the film is sure to gain momentum in North India". He pulled it off pretty well, but the numbers are not playing along, as the film was a dud at the box office.
