"Staff at Chelan County Emergency Management Management feel bad that this inappropriate and hurtful post made it onto the Facebook page", Burnett said.

"Nobody cares about your protest", the meme also read.

The Seattle Post-Intelligencer reports that a Chelan County emergency services worker this week accidentally posted an offensive meme to his department's official Facebook page after initially intending to only post it to their own personal page. In addition, the photo was shared from a group with an oh-so-very-charming name: "Libtards; ya gotta love 'em!".

The Chelan County Emergency Management Office is under scrutiny today for a social media post. The post was later deleted, as was a comment from the emergency management employee who tried to explain away the incident. Many comments were not satisfied with Burnett's response but the Sheriff has told reporters the employee will not be fired and said the post was "in poor taste" He indicated procedural changes will be implemented to prevent future mistakes of this nature.

The department issued an apology, stating; "This post does not reflect the views of the Sheriff's Office", calling the meme awful and inappropriate.

He did not identify the employee or say if disciplinary action would be taken against them.

The meme read "All Lives Splatter" and had an image of a vehicle ramming through protesters in the street.

"There will be an investigative review to follow up on all things and how it was done and what was done", he said.
