Auburn backup quarterback Sean White was admitted into a Lee County detention facility for appearing in a public place under the influence hours after the Tigers beat Mercer at home.

The 21-year-old White has a November 30 court date, where if found guilty he faces a fine and court costs. Auburn has yet to issue comment on the redshirt junior's arrest, but another suspension may well be in the offing unless the team decides to handle discipline internally. Sep.

White, 21, was arrested by Auburn police at 2:45 a.m. on the 100 block of N Ross St.in Auburn, according to Auburn police assistant chief William Mathews. He was one of three Tigers players to be suspended to start the 2017 season, though he missed two games while Kamryn Pettway and Kyle Davis missed only one.
