Brazil is coming off a challenging five-set win over Team USA on day four of the World Grand Champions Cup and will take their turn at Japan on the final day.

Amir Ghafour and Mohammadjavad Manavinezhad were among the Iranian players vital in comeback, scored 15 and 11 points, respectively. After the game between United States of America and Italy, we knew we already had the bronze medal, so I asked the players if they wanted to play or not. "So that makes me happy". By the third set, Iran already established their ground on offence and defence that made it hard for Japan to overcome.

The 2017 tournament is the seventh edition of the quadrennial games, which is organized by the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB).

Iran missed the podium in the last edition, when they finished fourth. The two have been the driving forces for Brazil and will need to continue their dominance to repeat at World Grand Champions Cup champions.
