Conte confirms Luiz will be fit to face Atletico

Chelsea defender David Luiz is set to miss more than three matches for his side after reportedly broke his wrist during the Sunday's goalless draw with Arsenal.

Luiz was shown a straight red card in the closing stages of the London derby by Michael Oliver having been adjudged to have jumped into a challenge on Arsenal full-back Saed Kolasinac. The run will also include the trip to Stoke City next weekend and the visit of Premier League title favourites Manchester City on 30 September, though the 30-year-old will be available for the Champions League tie at Atletico Madrid.

When asked about the Brazilian's suspension, Conte said: "Christensen is a very young player but I think he is a good player and I trust him. Now he has the possibility to play and now he has to prepare very well to play".

There's rarely a boring moment when the BBC ask Garth Crooks to sit down and name his Premier League team of the week, as if he hasn't picked a wild formation and played several players out of position, he's prone to saying something mad.

"We play Forest in midweek so it's one less game in the Premier League, but the manager may have rotated David anyway". But put together, there could be cause for worry, though Antonio Conte tried to explain it away with just a bit of bad luck.

Chelsea will not call in expert help to try to stop their run of red cards or hold talks with referee chiefs over the belief of numerous club's players that they have been victims of inconsistency.

"We have great respect for officials, but it is odd to finish a third game in a row against Arsenal with 10 men". I hope, also, to be more lucky with the refereeing decisions - for us, and also for the opponents.
