In yet another shameful incident, a 9-year-old girl was allegedly molested inside a school's toilet in Haryana's Panipat.

The assaulted girl offered resistance and was able to get out the clutches of the victimiser but was threatened to keep silent or else the worse would happen. The principal of the school, the relative also told reporters, had tried to hush up the matter, asking the parents not to complain to the police. Seven-year-old Pradyuman Thakur was found with his throat slit in the school washroom on September 8. The police claimed he had confessed and would be produced before a court Friday.

Reports say that the mother of the class IV student saw scratch marks on the minor's neck and back when she was changing her clothes after she came back from school.
