"We know he has this ability and we're very happy for him that he scored his hat-trick. a striker lives on goals and he has already scored a few important ones this season".

Chelsea manager, Antonio Conte says his team is ready for their next game against Spanish giant, Atletico Madrid.

The striker hit a fine hat-trick on Saturday to help Chelsea secure a thumping 4-0 win over Stoke City at the bet365 Stadium.

"I think now Eden is improving a lot and for sure he's in contention for Atletico Madrid", Conte told reporters.

'If you are a young kid wanting to play that position, do not look any further than him if you want to know exactly the right times and places to move to.

Conte pointed out that the former Juventus man has a new situation to adjust to this season given, for all his obvious prowess, he has never been an undisputedly first-choice striker at club level before now.

Just three days after Chelsea visit the Wanda Metropolitano they will host Manchester City in the Premier League and Conte is not going to let the excitement of the Champions League overshadow the Blues' return to domestic action.

"If I make this decision [to start Hazard at Atletico] it is because I am comfortable with this decision".

'He is nearly ideal in his technique as a striker and I make no apology for going on about it.

"I think this is very important for Chelsea". He's very strong and he showed he's a really good, complete player.

The Blues will be traveling to Spain where they are expected to face Atletico on Wednesday in the Champions League.
