Diamondbacks announce NL Wild Card Game starter

Going into Saturday's game at Coors Field in Denver, the Rockies held an 87-73 record, which was good for fifth-best in the National League and, more importantly, the second Wild Card spot. With one game left to play in the regular season, the Dodgers own a 103-58 record as they are one of three teams to reach the 100 win mark along with the Cleveland Indians and Houston Astros. The victor will open the NL Division Series on Friday against the Dodgers in Los Angeles. Much like they have all season, the team will rely heavily on the hitters in the first part of their lineup.

They looked good against the lefty, putting up 3 runs against him through four innings, including a rocket of a home run off the bat of Carlos Gonzalez.

Just having a lot of fun after clinching their first postseason spot since 2009.

The 11-game losing streak is exactly what every Dodger hater wanted. The Rockies won 9-1.

Kershaw will start Game 1 of the NLDS at Dodger Stadium on Friday at Dodger Stadium, and stated his case for his fourth Cy Young Award as he finished the season with a record of 18-4, an ERA of 2.31, a WHIP of 0.95, 202 strikeouts with 30 walks in 175 innings pitched. Standing in the Rockies' champagne-soaked clubhouse, Colorado manager Bud Black said, "This is going to be a little messy".

Kershaw is one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball and credits God for his talents and success.

It doesn't even matter what the Rockies do in Saturday's game against Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw.

Tim Locastro was painting his parents' basement this week. After starting the season hot and then slumping down the stretch, the Rockies narrowly hung on to claim the final National League Wild Card spot. Should the Rockies win Wednesday's Wild Card game against the Arizona Diamondbacks, they will advance to play the Dodgers next Friday in Los Angeles.

Locastro had not played since the Triple-A season ended on September 4 but he got two calls from Gabe Kapler, the Dodgers' director of player development, Thursday at Locastro's home in upstate NY. I thought he probably did it his best the last 30-40 pitches he threw.

"I'm as ready as I can be. I tried soaking it in", Bettis said. "It's not set in stone", Roberts said. The Cardinals-Brewers game was shown on the scoreboard.

Due to their extremely successful 2017 campaign, the Dodgers have clinched home-field advantage through the World Series, which is in fact the first time in history that home-field advantage for the World Series is determined by the best regular-season record. I've got to take advantage of it.

Locastro could be added to the Dodgers' playoff roster.
