They have now quietly released another one, the Nova 2i which is actually the global version of the Huawei Maimang 6 which was announced in China just last week and is practically similar to the already launched nova 2 and nova 2 plus.

Now the company has officially introduced the Huawei Maimang 6 in Malaysia.

USP of the Huawei Nova 2i is it's display and the camera.

In terms of software, the Nova 2i runs Huawei's EMUI 5.1 on top of Android 7.0, which the company says will automatically adapt itself to fit the app running on the screen into the new 18:9 screen. The phone is powered by Octa-Core Kirin 659 processor with MaliT830-MP2 GPU.

The Huawei Nova 2i features a unibody metal design and a 5.9-inch FullView (2160 x 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with an 18:9 aspect ratio.

The specifications of the phone remain the same and the biggest highlight is that it has dual camera setup both in the rear and the front.

Huawei is offering the new handset in Obsidian Black, Streamer Gold and Aurora Blue hues. The on-board storage has been pegged at 64GB, which can be further expanded up to 256GB using a microSD card. At the back, there is a 16 -Megapixel + 2-Megapixel lens combo that combines images to reproduce DSLR-like bokeh effects.

Powering the Huawei Nova 2i is a 3,340mAh battery, that Huawei claims to last up to two days and can be charged with a USB Type-C connector. The front is dominated by a 13 megapixel snapper which uses soft LED flash and is also paired with a 2 megapixel camera which should provide the depth in your photographs, at least on paper. Besides, the smartphone offers Hybrid Dual SIM, 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/A-GPS, NFC. The dimensions of the phone measure 156.2 × 75.2 × 7.5mm and Weight is 164 grams.
