The Sunday night shooting spree from a 32nd-floor window of the Mandalay Bay hotel, on the Las Vegas Strip, killed at least 59 people before the gunman turned a weapon on himself.

The victims were attending a music festival at the same hotel.

Law enforcement has no "derogatory information" about Paddock, besides the fact that he received a citation several years ago that was handled in the court system, Lombardo said.

Following the bloodshed, Danley had been initially named as a person of interest.

"It's like a job for him", his brother, Eric Paddock, said Monday.

The Islamic State claimed responsibility for the attack Monday morning, but authorities insist that early investigations have yielded no corroborating evidence. "We ask them always to do their catholic obligations to save others and be safe always, and never to hurt and harm anyone", he added.

"He had nothing to do with any political organization, religious organization, no white supremacists, nothing, as far as I know".

"But we've been informed that she is no longer a person of interest", she said.

Danley was quickly cleared of any involvement in the massacre but Las Vegas police believe she may be able to shed some light on what drove Stephen Paddock to commit mass murder.

"We hope and pray that all of them are safe and accounted for", Cruz said.
