Kim Cattrall Admits To Toxic Relationship With Sex And The City Co-Stars

That tension came boiling to the surface after reports pointed to Kim Cattrall's "ridiculous" demands as the reason the anticipated third Sex and the City movie was being cancelled.

"And now, now at this very moment it's quite extraordinary to get any kind of negative press about something that I've been saying for nearly a year of "no" that I'm demanding or a diva".

"This is where I take to task the people from 'Sex and the City' and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker in that I think she could have been nicer", she told host Piers Morgan.

Catrall took to Twitter to rubbish these claims in a post that said her only "demand" was that she would not return to Sex and the City 3. I never have." She also said that she doesn't speak with her "SATC" co-stars and that she has "moved on. Cattrall has since opened up further about her decision to walk away from the popular franchise, insisting she repeatedly told producers she wasn't interested, but they continued to hound the actress in a bid to get her to reconsider - and then failed to dispel rumours suggesting the 61-year-old star's behaviour was to blame for the project falling apart.

The actress also made it clear that she wasn't against Sex and the City 3.

"They all have children and I am 10 years older and since specifically the series ended I have been spending most of my time outside of NY so I don't see them", she said. "People turned down other jobs, were in the process of relocating to NY but she kept stalling and was always unavailable when answers from her were needed".

For any SATC fan harboring notions of the four ladies being as close in real life as they are in the show, well, you'll be disappointed by Cattrall remarking that she doesn't really see SJP, Nixon or Davis anymore: 'They all have children and I am 10 years older and since specifically the series ended I have been spending most of my time outside of NY so I don't see them. They're about me making decisions for me - not my career, for me.

When asked for the umpteenth time about the four "SATC" ladies getting together for the third movie after the show's end in 2004, Cattrell told The Daily Mail that she's not interested.

"They all have children and I am ten years older and since specifically the series ended I have been spending most of my time outside of NY so I don't see them", Kim continued. She and a majority of the show's production were on board, she said, but she insinuated that Cattrall was the sole reason the project was killed. "The common ground that we had was the series and the series is over". "This is what I really believe that this franchise needs another point of view and this could be it", said Kim in the interview, according to a report by E!
