Local news outlets say 53-year-old Scott Edward Nelson was found at a motel in Jacksonville on Sunday night.

Federal Bureau of Investigation agents were working with the FDLE and detectives with the Winter Park, Orlando and Orange County police departments Saturday in search of a person of interest in the death of Jennifer Fulford.

A man considered a person of interest in the murder of a Florida nanny has been found holed up in a roadside motel and arrested.

Fulford, who was a mother of two, grandmother and nanny, was last seen leaving her dentist's office in Winter Park on Wednesday, according to police.

"We have recovered some evidence we believe will be valuable from both the home, from the scene where Ms. Fulford was recovered, from her vehicle and also, we anticipate, from that hotel room in Jacksonville", said FDLE Special Agent in Charge Danny Banks.

Police had issued a broad appeal to the public for assistance in the manhunt, acting on information that Nelson had used the victim's ATM card. The family that hired Fulford as their nanny stated that she was always prompt, caring, and cordial. Nelson was booked into the Duval County Jail and was held on no bond for violating his federal probation, jail records show. "She's not answering texts", Robert Fulford said.

The details of Fulford's her disappearance and homicide are largely unknown, as detectives continue to build a case against Nelson.

Fulford's family and the one she worked for in winter Park tell us they're completely devastated. "She was a productive member of our community, and she has a loving family devastated by this event". "We love her, that we're here - whatever we can do". This senseless event has shocked all of us to the core. They added that Jennifer Fulford was kind and loving, and the kind of person who would help anybody if they asked.

"We would like to express our appreciation to the Winter Park Police Department and the other law enforcement agencies working on this matter".
