Google updated YouTube for iOS today, bringing with it support for iMessage, as well as updates within the app itself. That being said, the update should already be live so if you have yet to update the app, then head on over to the iTunes App Store to get your hands on it. Wait, there's more, and this is a convenient one its a gesture that Youtube has embedded which allows the user to dismiss a video from a playlist. Version 12.38 also lets you swipe to remove videos from playlists. Even though its objective is limited to sharing videos, it offers access to everything you might want before sharing - your full watch history, a search option with recent search queries listed, and even the ability to watch a video inside iMessage before you send it. iMessage app developers take note: just because your app serves a single goal doesn't mean it has to be a bare-bones experience.

A list of recently watched videos will be automatically populated, which makes it easier to share something you just watched.

After tapping on the share button in the YouTube app, there is now an option to share via iMessage.

After the video has been shared it can be watched directly within the iMessage app. Next, tap on the Edit button in the upper right corner.
