Tiffany, Sooyoung and Seohyun of Girls' Generation will quit their management agency S.M. Entertainment, sources in the local music scene said Monday.

The remaining five members of Girls' Generation - Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Sunny, Yoona and Yuri, have reportedly re-signed with SM Entertainment, and there has been no talk of disbanding the group.

Girls Generation recently celebrated their 10th anniversary and honestly, this is quite an awesome feat for any K-pop group because the collective fame and success of groups like this usually last no longer than five years. Although Girls' Generation will stay afloat, it would be hard in practical terms for those members to remain in the team when they sign up with a different management agency. Girls' Generation is a meaningful and precious group to both SM and fans.

According to media reports, California-born-and-raised Tiffany is expected to pursue her studies in the USA, while Seohyun and Sooyoung will pursue acting careers following their split from the agency. "I understand the members are still discussing the matter".

"Girls' Generation are valuable to us and their fans", the agency said. When Jessica left in 2014 they continued with eight members. "The direction and future plan for Girls' Generation will be carefully decided after the discussion with members".

According to Yonhap News, Tiffany will further her studies in the United States, while Seohyun and Sooyoung will pursue their acting careers.

This news came shortly after Girls Generation released their sixth full-length album, "Holiday Night' to celebrate ten years in the industry as one of K-pop's most iconic and long-lasting girl groups".
