The Texans signed two pass rushers to the active roster this week after J.J.

"I feel bad for the guy", Texans head coach Bill O'Brien said of the 28-year-old player.

The Texans need reinforcements on defense with defensive end J.J. Watt (broken leg) and outside linebacker Whitney Mercilus (torn pectoral) out for the season. He's an awesome human being, and he will work extremely hard to be back, to be back to play for this football team. They worked out well. Both heavy-handed players relative to the positions that they play. "So, I think they're definitely two good additions to the team".

For his career, Jackson, 31, has 267 tackles and nine sacks.

Langford spent just two seasons with the Colts, which differed highly.

"I can't sugarcoat it, I am devastated", Watt said on Twitter. "Those are big shoes to fill".

Houston, a former second-round pick, spent the past three seasons with the Chicago Bears but played in just 26 games during that span due to season-ending knee injuries in both 2014 and 2016. In his career, Houston has recorded 25.0 sacks, 67 quarterback hits, 51 tackles for loss, eight fumble recoveries, four forced fumbles and an interception.

Last season, Watt played in only three games after having back surgery.
