Kyrie Irving Sure Seems Happy To Be Out Of Cleveland

Since then, Irving has been typically odd about the whole ordeal.

But in a city like Cleveland, the small market factor is always something to keep in mind. I mean, I've done the same thing, but it's not going to endear him to any Cavaliers fans.

The All-Star point guard grew up in New Jersey, and is excited to be living on the East Coast again. "Coming from Cleveland, the Midwest, where the culture is different", Irving said Wednesday, via the Boston Globe. You get it all, especially in Boston.

Irving sees a "vast difference" between life in Boston and Cleveland, where he spent the first six years of his National Basketball Association career.

Kyrie Irving looks like he's ready for the start of the regular season.

Irving, speaking with reporters before the Celtics' preseason matchup with the Charlotte Hornets, said the biggest difference between Boston and Cleveland is that he's in a sports city now. Sure, the Browns aren't exactly the pride of the National Football League, but it's not like star athletes in Cleveland are starved for attention. They will enjoy Irving prodding Cavaliers fans to nearly the same extent that Cavaliers fans will hate it.

While that is true, there's no escaping the fact that the Celtics have shown a level of cohesiveness at both ends of the floor, that has them maybe ahead of where most - including players - expected them to be at this point in the season.

October 17 is looking more and more intense every passing day.
