According to Calciomercato, Olivier Giroud is a January target for Serie A giants Inter Milan and Juventus.

While it is reported Giroud may be signed by Juventus to replace Mario Mandzukic.

If Giroud does swap The Emirates for Italy in the New Year, it will not go down well with an Everton side who were so close to luring the Frenchman to Goodison Park over the summer.

But despite knowing he would be dropped to become Lacazette's deputy and interest from Everton, West Ham and Marseille, Giroud chose to stay at the Emirates and fight for his place.

Giroud has proven himself to be a consistent goalscorer after netting 100 times in 237 appearances under Arsene Wenger. Giroud is now the joint seventh top score in France's history and surely will be feeling good and hoping to carry on with Arsenal this weekend.

It's a transfer which does have some merit.

"I had the opportunity to leave [Arsenal]", Giroud told French TV station Canal Plus.

But Giroud came close to leaving for Everton in the last transfer window, which could indicate that Wenger will not stand in his way should the right move come along.

The French global has recently insisted that rejecting an approach from Everton was the right decision, but the 31-year-old is yet to start a game in the Premier League this season.
