A pair of former champions will headline the UFC's next trip to Canada as the promotion has announced former welterweight title holder Robbie Lawler will face former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos in the main event of UFC Fight Night Winnipeg. In the other, we'll have former lightweight champ Rafael dos Anjos.

UFC on FOX 26 takes place December 16 at MTS Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

UFC officials made the announcement on Thursday. Far from calling it a day on his 15 year career, "Ruthless" Robbie returned to action a year later at UFC 214. Lawler won the UFC Welterweight Title when he defeated Johny Hendricks by decision at UFC 181, but would lose it to Tyron Woodley by knockout at UFC 201. The 32-year-old also topped Tarec Saffiedine via unanimous decision back in June.

Opposing him is longtime vet dos Anjos, who this past month picked up his second straight win since moving from lightweight to welterweight.

The fight against Lawler will give dos Anjos the chance to prove his run at welterweight is no fluke as he tries to put himself into position to fight for the gold next year.

Along with this massive booking, two other exciting UFC on Fox 26 fights have also been announced: one pairing Galore Bofando with Chad Laprise, and another pitting Nordine Taleb against Sultan Aliev.

With the victor most likely headed for a title fight versus "The Chosen One" when he returns, who are you picking to win this potentially explosive match?
