POTUS is urging for players to respect a country that doesn't respect them, and that's why the protests began in the first place. "Hip-hop mogul Sean "#Diddy" Combs weighed in on #Twitter, telling players "If you do whatever you do in unity, you can't be stopped".

His fiery comments ignited a huge backlash last month (Sep17), when a host of team owners showed their support for their players by linking arms and/or kneeling on the field prior to their games, while a number of musicians also did the same during their shows.

Diddy is going to need a LOT of money. The rapper revealed that he has always wanted to own an individual team, but has different goals now.

Then, Diddy sent out a series of tweets regarding his dreams for the NFL, which include "a league where you can be yourself, have freedom to be a great human and protest for your people without being demonized for your beliefs". His idea of a flawless league would allow protests without the demonization that current NFL players have faced over the past year. He ended his Twitter posts with, "SELL ME THE NFL NOW!"

So, Diddy wants to buy the NFL.

A different person or group owns each individual National Football League team and places a vote for the commissioner. Forget a team, the billionaire mogul and social justice advocate wants the entire league. On average, a team costs about $1 billion to purchase. The Dallas Cowboys are the highest valued team at $4.2 billion.

The NFL has continued to make headlines the past two seasons due to players kneeling - among other forms of demonstration - during the national anthem as a form of peaceful protest.

Diddy's net worth is $820 million, according to Forbes.
