Her frustrated Facebook friends couldn't work out what colour the shoes were either, with many saying it was causing rifts at home.

The incident harkens back to the infamous 2015 "dress", which left people arguing if a Roman Originals "Lace" dress black and blue or white and gold.

It appears most believe the trainer is blue and grey, but a significant number swear it's pink and white.

In a post to Facebook group Girlsmouth, Nicole wrote: "Ok girls, so my friend has just sent me this asking what colour the shoe is".

There is no reason for absolute sure, but some photographers have come out to say that it's all down to white balance.

So what do you see - pink and white or grey and blue?

Do you see the different colours now?

This dress caused a huge debate in February 2015 over whether or not it was blue and black, or white and gold.

A few years ago, a picture of a dress went viral after no one could decide what colour it was. you'd remember it because it was literally EVERYWHERE for months!

This is a fairly believable theory as most screens have a combination of colours that make up their display and they all have the colours in different proportions to give their customers what they think is the best display.

But it also has been reported that some people are seeing green, too.

But the puzzled fashionista replied saying: "They are pink, mum".

The debate then escalated in the group with thousands of people commenting, and opinions were split over what colour the trainers really are.

One of the most plausible theories is that the colour perception discrepancies are down to colour constancy which is an ability that ensures that the perceived colour of an object stays constant despite changes in lighting.

Kim Kardashian tweeted: "What colour is that dress?" Let us know in the comments section below.
