(Radio.com) Katy Perry made the most of National Coming Out Day 2017 (Oct. 11) by welcoming two women onstage during a NY concert for a romantic (and very public) marriage proposal. It was a fantastic moment that marked the highlight of the entire concert. As seen in fan video posted of the event, Perry pulled the two women up and said to one of them (named Katy, of course), "You said you had a wish". Katie, clearing nervous, then took the microphone and looked at Becky as she told the audience: "Well, I don't know if all of you've all seen Becky, but she's pretty even without any make-up on. she's ideal!" "Well, this is a shooting star", Katy said to Katy, gesturing at a star that had been lowered on to the stage. "What's your wish, Katy?"

The fan responded, "Well, I don't know if you all have seen Becky, but she's pretty even without any makeup on", while looking at her girlfriend in front of the crowd. As Becky struggled to control her giggles, Katy jumped up and shouted: "Say yes, Becky, if you want to get married!"

She then brought out a ring and moved onto one knee, much to Becky's surprise. Katy popped the question, Becky said yes, and Perry joined the audience in being overwhelmed by their display of love-but not so overwhelmed that she wasn't able to snap a selfie with the newly engaged pair.

Afterward, Perry revealed that she had planned the whole thing with Katy. Before switching gears and launching into her new song "Power", Perry added, "It's handsome on National Coming Out Day".
