MI among states most vulnerable to identity theft, report says

CT ranks among the states that are most susceptible to cybercrime.

After a massive Equifax credit breach, a new study has found that MI is one the top 10 states in the United States that is most vulnerable to identity theft and fraud.

The site put CT at 10 out of the 50 states and the District of Columbia.

Guests will hear from local, state and national representatives on the issues of identity theft and data breach and will hear about progress made over the past two years.

According to the report, MI ranks 2nd in the nation in number of identity theft complaints per capita and 4th in the nation in number of fraud complaints per capita.

24th in compliance with the REAL ID Act. The five states worse than MI were California, Rhode Island, District of Columbia, Florida and Georgia.
