Task force members noticed other suspicious activity in the motel parking lot and moved in to arrest 35-year-old Christina Onorati and 42-year-old Rodney Rowe, both of Norwich.

"During this operation Task Force members also observed and as a result of their investigation they arrested Christina A. Onorati and Rodney T. Rowe for drug related offenses seizing an amount of marijuana, 23.31 grams of crack cocaine, 34 oxycodone pills, and $1,273.00 USA currency during this investigation", said police.

"To those out there who are watching this who might avail themselves at the opportunity to exploit children or to engage in even the adult sex trade, this is a bit of a warning. Unfortunately, the number of traffickers arrested - and the number of children recovered - reinforces why we need to continue to do this important work", stated FBI Director Christopher Wray.

"This operation isn't just about taking traffickers off the street".

The FBI says minors who were recovered are offered help from state protective services and the FBI's Victim Services Division.

"I wanted to make sure that y'all knew that there are resources out there", a specialist tells one apparent victim. "And when they get you, my office will handle the rest".

For the 11th iteration of Operation Cross Country, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and the Federal Bureau of Investigation collaborated to recover victims across the country to target and carry out stings at hotels, websites, casinos, and street corners popular with pimps and prostitutes.

"The teams are comprised of law enforcement, victim assistance, social service entities, medical and other community representatives", she said.

Any child 17 or younger who is involved in a commercial sex act is a victim of sex trafficking, according to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Studies have shown that 50 to 90 percent of child sex trafficking victims have been involved in the child welfare system, it said. "All that stuff happens, but now what we see more often than not is kids are recruited online, and they're controlled online and sold online".

It was also revealed that on the same day, a 21-year-old female offered a different undercover agent the opportunity to have intercourse with her and a minor for a $200 fee.
