"I'm dancing around the living room to it already", the Academy Award victor teased while speaking with Entertainment Tonight at Wednesday's CMT Artists of the Year event.

Prior to his encore performance of the inspiring track at the CMT Artists of the Year celebration in Nashville, Aldean explained the salience of the song choice to ET's Sophie Schillaci.

Aldean, whose band was playing onstage during the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas on October 1 when a gunman opened fire on the crowd, killing 58 people and injuring scores more, finished out the show's introduction.

Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Chris Stapleton, and Keith Urban each paid homage to country music fans' unwavering dedication to the genre and spoke about the healing power of music following the natural disasters and the violence at the Route 91 Harvest Festival, which have rocked this country. And the Big Little Lies actress, who got a preview of his unreleased music, revealed a few singles will make us want to hit the dance floor.

The special opened with a performance by Andra Day and Little Big Town singing Day's "Rise Up" as a tribute to the many who have experienced tragedy in 2017.

"We've been tested beyond our worst nightmares the past few months", Aldean expressed.

What an awesome night of unity, hope, and healing though music.

Last night the country music world awarded Luke Bryan, Florida Georgia Line, Jason Aldean, and Keith Urban with the CMT Artist of the Year Award. Share these highlights with other country music fans!
