Fire crews discovered the body this morning in the dumpster behind some businesses on the Langley Bypass near 200 Street.

Firefighters found her remains after putting out the blaze, which was spotted on the Langley Bypass shortly before 6 a.m.

Van Herk said they are unsure if the woman's death was caused by the fire, as well as how the fire started in the first place.

Bombay and all other stores are still open at this time, however the area in behind will continue to be cordoned off for several hours.

A Mountie took photos of the scene during a police investigation behind stores in the Rio Can shopping centre Friday morning.

And while the identity of the deceased has not been confirmed, police said they are remaining "confident" the remains are not those of the missing person, Kristina Ward.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call the Langley RCMP detachment at 604-532-3200.
