Australia and Honduras are now in the midst of a two-leg playoff for one of the last available World Cup spots.

And the 103-cap forward said he would be ready to start if called upon by coach Ange Postecoglou. "I have a great feeling about this game. that any chances we have, we're going to make the a lot of them this time".

"Every little bit counts in such big games", Australia defender Trent Sainsbury said after landing on home soil.

When is Australia vs Honduras?

"We've still got a job to do", the Western Sydney Wanderer said. And they're also familiar with the long-haul flights from playing club football overseas, and having to travel for Asian qualifiers far away in countries such as Saudi Arabia.

Australia take on Honduras on Wednesday, November 14.

However, Pinto is still confident the side will make it to Russian Federation 2018.

Mathew Leckie and Robbie Kruse are both fit after missing out through injury in Central America while Mark Milligan is back from suspension.

"You make a mistake and it could be the end of the road".

"This team is coming of age now and the next step will be to beat this Honduras team and then have a really good World Cup".
