Amber Alert issued for 3-year-old San Antonio boy

SAN ANTONIO, Texas- The Texas Division of Emergency Management has issued an Amber Alert for a Josue Gonzalez, 3-year-old boy from San Antonio.

WOAI reported Monday night the boy was OK and had been found at about 9 p.m. near La Grange, more than 100 miles away from where he was taken.


Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek said both the child and auto were eventually found by Fayette County Law Enforcement after a citizen reported the suspect in an eastbound rest area on Interstate 10 just west of Flatonia. However, a green Ford Mustang was identified as a suspected vehicle. Josue is described as a Hispanic boy weighing 32 pounds, and standing about 2 feet tall. He has black hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a pink and red shirt (with a gray collar), brown and blue Sperry shoes, and jean shorts. A portable gas tank is also visible.

Texas plates DD2P676. The vehicle has a damaged roof and taillight.
