Spurs finished above Arsenal last season and while Giggs sees Pochettino as possessing the best squad at the moment, he still believes that they have some way to go before coming the true dominant force in North London. It had to turn around sooner or later, that's law of averages from Spurs point of view.

Arsene Wenger's side lost 3-1 to Premier League leaders Manchester City in their last top-flight fixture ahead of the worldwide break.

Arsenal fans were already dreading this weekend's North London derby, but after learning that Mike Dean will referee the game, their worry has turned to anguish.

Toby Alderweireld is also nursing a hamstring injury, Jan Vertonghen picked up an ankle concern playing for Belgium while Harry Kane, Harry Winks and Dele Alli all withdrew from the England squad because of knocks.

Former Liverpool defender Ruddock is tipping Tottenham to beat Arsenal with an assured performance at the Emirates Stadium in Saturday's early kick-off.

"I've never been so confident about a Spurs team since I can remember".

Dembele has endured a frustrating season so far as a niggling foot injury has restricted him to making just three starts for Tottenham in all competitions this campaign.

"Tottenham have also been impressive and I had thought they would struggle going for the title with the Wembley and playing in the Champions League but they've gotten over it really well, so I'd have them third in the mix", he added.

While winning the Premier League this season will certainly be a very hard task for Tottenham Hotspur given the excellent form of Manchester City, Mauricio Pochettino's side can at least claim to be the dominant side in North London at present.
