Now things have gotten worse for the team as their best running back, Aaron Jones, injured his MCL and is out 3-6 weeks, according to Adam Schefter.

The Green Bay Packers will get running back Aaron Jones back on the field, but it won't happen until December. He was carted back to the locker room and eventually ruled out with a knee injury.

Jones has run for 370 yards and three touchdowns in his rookie season.

Montgomery was unable to return to Sunday's 23-16 win over the Bears after aggravating his long-standing rib injury in the second quarter. He produced two games with over 100 rushing yards during his first three starts but was held to just 24 total rushing yards over the last two games. Williams, a fourth-round pick, finished Sunday's game after Jones and Montgomery dropped out and rushed for a season-high 67 yards on 20 carries.

Coach Mike McCarthy confirmed Monday that Jones' knee is a "multiple-week injury".

The 22-year-old Georgia native missed most of the 2015 season with the Miners because of an ankle injury. If he misses only three weeks, he could return on December 10 against the Cleveland Browns.

Green Bay selected Jones out of UTEP in the fifth round of the 2017 National Football League draft.
