Mahindra Scorpio Facelift to be launched today

The new 2018 Mahindra Scorpio facelift comes with a host of new features. The SUV will come in four versions, S3, S5, S7 while the top model 4WD is priced at Rs 16.01 lakh. The most significant improvement comes in the form of a more powerful engine. Mahindra Scorpio facelift is powered by the 2.2-liter mHawk diesel engine, but now the oil burner comes in two states of tune which is, the existing 120 bhp version and a tuned 140 bhp version. The facelift offers a maximum power of 140 BHP along with a peak torque of 330 Nm. As for the cosmetic updates, the facelifted SUV flaunts new front grille with chrome inserts and restyled fog lamps with a chrome bezel.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) on Tuesday launched an updated version of its popular Scorpio. This engine is mated to a new six-speed manual transmission. The base variant retains the 75 bhp m2DICR engine. The headlamps are the same as the cluster design has been slightly tweaked and the SUV now also comes with a revised bumper with new larger foglamps, wider airdam and additional cladding. Other safety features include dual front airbags, collapsible steering column & side intrusion beams, panic brake indication, engine immobilizer, Seat belt reminder lamp, Speed alert and Auto door lock while driving. The test mule can also be seen sporting new design alloy wheels with a black finish.

Mahindra Scorpio facelift would be offered in five attractive colour options, namely, new Pearl White (Only in S11), Diamond White (Except S11), Napoli Black, D Sat Silver and Molten Red.

The cabin has also gone through some considerable changes and now instead of the side facing jump seats, you get a proper bench seat for the third row and that too with a centre armrest. A bigger roof-mounted spoiler and a revised bumper is also part of the updates.

The 2017 Mahindra Scorpio facelift come with better technological features now like reverse parking camera with dynamic assist, one-touch lane change indicator, projector headlamps with static bending technology and LED eyebrows, 6-inch touch screen infotainment system with GPS navigation in 10 languages, voice assist system and more.

The 2017 Mahindra Scorpio facelift is now well-equipped and more powerful. The Scorpio would take on the likes of Tata Safari Storme, Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster.
