Written and directed by Rian Johnson, Star Wars: The Last Jedi stars Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong'o, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Gwendoline Christie, Andy Serkis, Laura Dern, Kelly Marie Tran and Benicio del Toro.

Variety reports that Star Wars: The Last Jedi led social media discussions last week with 110,000 new conversations about the next chapter of the science fiction saga.

In a recent interview with Elle UK, Ridley revealed that she had doubts over her performance in the film saying: "I didn't think I was good in the first film, and I was struggling with that".

"I went to her house and we talked about [psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Carl] Jung because my dad loves Jung, and we were talking about dreams, and I left and got super emotional, not because she's famous, but because she's fantastic", Ridley recalls about meeting the entertainment icon.

"I did the first one because I didn't really know what I was getting myself into and I was having loads of fun, and suddenly I'm realising what this actually is", she said."[I realised] I can't f**king do this. "Finally, I was like 'Oh yeah, this is working'".

Next month, the actor will return to the franchise for the first time since portraying Luke Skywalker in "Return of the Jedi" in 1983.

Mark Hamill took to Twitter over the weekend to address the Porg hatred by reminding fans that there's only 30-odd days to go for him to troll them about the puffin-otter-like creatures.

Ridley then went on explaining how she didn't fully understand the pressure of becoming a Star Wars star.
