He started working at Tesla in April and has filed written complaints to the human resources team, none of which were investigated.

Vaughn also claimed that Tesla's workplace was a "hotbed for racist behavior", and follows another lawsuit alleging racially-driven harassment and discrimination filed against the automaker last month.

In his lawsuit, Vaugh mentioned that employees and supervisors used the "N-Word" on a regular basis around Vaugh, and drew racist graffiti on cardboard boxes.

"Although Tesla stands out as a groundbreaking company at the forefront of the electric auto revolution, its standard operating procedure at the Tesla factory is pre-Civil Rights era race discrimination", the employees said in the complaint, that was filed in a California court.

Tesla has 33,000 employees worldwide, and approximately 10,000 of them work at the Fremont, Calif. assembly plant, according to Bloomberg News.

According to Bloomberg, Vaughn referenced an email to employees from founder and chief executive Elon Musk in his complaint.

Tesla has yet to issue a statement regarding the impending lawsuit.

In March, another Black employee alleging he was sexually harassed, racially harassed and racially discriminated against at the Fremont facility.

Tesla did not respond to a request for comment.

"Although Tesla stands out as a groundbreaking company at the forefront of the electric auto revolution, its standard operating procedure at the Tesla factory is pre-Civil Rights era race discrimination", the employee said in the complaint, filed Monday in California's Alameda County Superior Court.

Vaughn's suit is the largest, since he is seeking to make the claim on behalf of at least 100 African-American workers.

"In fairness, if someone is a jerk to you, but sincerely apologizes, it is important to be thick-skinned and accept that apology", Tesla's C.E.O wrote in an email. "Sometimes these things happen unintentionally, in which case you should apologize".

The email was sent to employees in May. The lawsuit seeks class-action status and unspecified damages under California anti-discrimination law.

Tesla has been sued for gender discrimination, anti-LGBTQ harassment, unlawful firings, and ageism.

Organ said Tesla isn't doing enough. Vaughn worked in the Fremont factory from April 23 to October 31.

Vaughn's lawsuit became the third filed this year, accusing the company of racism.
