So if you liked La La Land but want a little more circus-themed action, and some Hugh Jackman to go along with it, then The Greatest Showman is for you! This December will see the release of The Greatest Showman, and Jackman will be taking center stage as famed entertainer P.T. Barnum.

The Greatest Showman arrives in United Kingdom cinemas December 26.

Hugh Jackman is coming home with Hollywood star Zac Efron in tow for the Australian premiere of upcoming movie, The Greatest Showman. He sets out to recruit his cadre of performers, that includes Zendaya as an acrobat, Zac Efron as, we assume, the ringmaster, Rebecca Ferguson as a Swedish opera singer, and Broadway veteran Keala Settle as a very determined-looking bearded lady (Settle also sings "This Is Me", the uplifting song featured in the background).

Les Miserables was the last Christmas release that Hugh sung on way back in 2012, meaning fans are chomping at the bit for his singing, dancing and acting.

Jackson has long bemoaned the fact that he's more well-known for his ripped bod and adamantium claws than his musical roots, and he couldn't look happier in his return to being a song-and-dance man at the center of the trailer's aptly named song, "The Greatest Show".

Tony victor and Oscar nominee Hugh Jackman stars as pioneering American showman P.T. Barnum, and this original musical explores Barnum's founding of the legendary Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus. He adorably labelled it "every girl's dream".
