"There's no connection between women-centric roles and weight loss". At a time when there is so much conversation about how it is important to be healthy and not skinny-and that no particular body type is ideal- surely this question is uncalled for. The film's story revolves around a middle-aged housemaker Sulochona aka Sulu, who is a happy-go-lucky person with a mantra: "Sometimes you don't need wings to fly". Whether Vidya Balan chooses to lose weight, or put on weight, or do glamorous roles is her prerogative. I'm quite head-strong. But I think it can really be sexist.

Vidya Balan's new film is about to release this Friday, November 17th, and the actor has been actively promoting it. They why the makers of the film chose Vidya? Well, because of her talented acting skills and not because her body weight will suit the character.

While interacting with the media recently, the actress got stunned by the type of questions she was bombarded with by one of the journos. "From now on, will we see you in more such films, or have you thought about weightloss?" But she made a comeback and gave a savage reply. To which Vidya calmly answered, " I am very happy with what I'm doing. "At least it will help to change people who have a thinking and perspective like you".

Sadly, Youtube commenters seem to have a whole other point of view.

"It feels amusing how inspite of being the most populated country in the world, we still don't talk about sex openly", Vidya said.
