Thermaltake has announced that it is to launch a product aimed firmly at the more moist gamers out there: a gaming chair with active cooling, created to keep your backside between 0.6ºC and 1.5ºC cooler than the unassisted competition. Your butt won't get too cold, however, as Thermaltake has provided a three-step fan controller to let you adjust the speed to suit you. All this, coupled with a true ergonomic form and maximum function design, provides the X COMFORT AIR with the flawless balance between desired gaming comfort and expected performance during the most intense gaming sessions.

The X Comfort Air is the first air-cooled gaming chair (that we're aware of) with a set of four fans plopped underneath the seat.

In order to achieve maximum cooling performance, the air cooling optimized design of the X COMFORT AIR directs streamlined airflow through the seat base via aerodynamic compression, thus preventing unnecessary air loss for maximum airflow efficiency.

The Thermaltake X Comfort Air is available now for $500 in two different colours, a black and red version and an all-black variant. According to Thermaltake, these four 60mm five-blade fans can reduce temperatures by 0.6°C to 1.5°C. The use of high-quality components in the fan blade design provides a whopping 75,000-hour lifespan, which is double than that of industry standard and provides utmost performance and reliability.

Better known for cooling PC hardware rather than the derrières of gaming enthusiasts, Thermaltake has chose to turn its hand at cooling human flesh alongside silicon with the X Comfort Air chair.

In traditional gaming chair-style, the frame is made from steel surrounded by dense foam. The Z-Support multi function tilt mechanism provides improved support and stability of the gaming chair, which are only found in premium gaming chairs.
