20th Century Fox has technically released the first teaser trailer online for Deadpool 2, but this is far from your average marketing campaign. Presented at first as being a parody of the famous American painter Bob Ross and his TV series The Joy of Painting (with Wade Wilson filling in for Mr. Ross), the trailer eventually transitions into a more traditional sizzle reel of footage from the Deadpool sequel. This is where the real teaser for the film comes in, showing quick and action-heavy glimpses at the film's plot. "Would you like at that, it seems like we have ourselves a finished painting", he says. The only thing we don't get a good look at is the debut of Josh Brolin's Cable, though we do get teased with it. Jack Kesy (The Strain, Baywatch) is attached to play the film's central villain, which, while unconfirmed, is rumored to be Irish mutant Black Tom Cassidy. Brolin's fellow newbies include Hunt For The Wilderpeople's Julian Dennison, Atlanta's Zazie Beetz and Eddie Marsan.

Star Ryan Reynolds returns as the Marvel antihero, with returning stars including Morena Baccarin (as Vanessa), T.J. Miller (Weasel), Stefan Kapicic (Colossus), Brianna Hildebrand (Negasonic Teenage Warhead), Leslie Uggams (Blind Al) and Karan Soni (Dopinder). David Leitch takes over as director for Tim Miller, working off a script from the first movie's Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick.

Deadpool 2 will curse its way into United Kingdom cinemas on June 1, 2018.
