Chris Carlin, Maggie Gray, and Bart Scott will be the afternoon show team starting January 2.

Giannotti, who now co-hosts the Gio and Jones morning show on CBS Sports Radio, has strong ties to WFAN that date back over a decade.

Carlin has done work with WFAN and SNY in the past. GRAY called her hiring "shocking, out of the blue". He also said that he had received support from CARTON in a phone call after getting the job; ESIASON repeated his support for his former partner, asserting that CARTON, who was sacked after his arrest on charges he led a Ponzi scheme, "will be back" on radio at some point.

New York's WFAN Sports Radio 101.9 FM and Sports Radio 66 AM, today announced a fresh new lineup for the New Year.

Since returning to New York, Giannotti has joined Esiason on the Carton-less "Morning Show with Boomer", bringing both insight and his amusing impressions that range from Tony Romo to the Sports Pope himself. "The mix of distinctive new voices and lineup changes, alongside perennial on-air favorites, ensures a continuously remarkable listening experience for the passionate NY sports fans we proudly serve".

In addition to all the Giants, Knicks, and Mets talk, Wednesday's show served as a platform form some pretty important announcements regarding the future of WFAN.

Gray has been a host for Sports Illustrated's digital content for a while now and is a NY native.
