Now, Taraji P. Henson will be helping usher in a new and improved era for the beloved genre with her next project: a reboot of Nancy Myers's popular 2000 comedy What Women Want. After all, What Women Want isn't exactly one of Gibson's best-remembered films, and critics at the time weren't very kind to it overall.

If you know what men want, you can rule!

Henson, who stars in the hit show "Empire", will portray a female sports agent trying to compete in a male-dominated world in the film titled "What Men Want".

The film, produced by Will Packer and coming from Paramount will flip the original idea, which saw Mel Gibson as an alpha male ad executive who after an accident, acquires the ability to be able to hear the thoughts of women, which is a gift and a curse.

Helen Hunt starred in the flick as Gibson's love interest. When she gains the power to hear men's thoughts, she is able to shift the paradigm to her advantage as she races to sign the NBA's next superstar.

According to Deadline, Henson will lead What Men Want and there is already a release date for it: January 11, 2019.

While she's been acting in Hollywood since the 90s, Taraji P. Henson has seen her profile within the industry explode in the last few years, mostly thanks to the hit FOX drama Empire.
