Kevin Durant Can't Stop Whining About People Not Liking Him

You'd probably feel liberated, too, if you just hit the game-winning shot - a shot you've worked on your entire life - over your idol on the biggest National Basketball Association stage possible.

- Kevin Durant also talks about how he thought the torch was passed when he hit that shot over LeBron in the finals. Somebody that I really, really, really followed since I was a ninth-grade high schooler.

"It just felt like I was on the outside looking in at a conversation".

That one single moment pretty much was the nail in the coffin for Durant as he explained how it felt to him. He dribbled down the left-side of the court and squared up LeBron James behind the 3-point line with 47 second left. "I made the game-winning shot in the finals against my (expletive) idol".

"That was the best moment I ever had", Durant told GQ.

In terms of career accomplishments, Durant may not get the three NBA MVP awards he needs to match James's total of four, given that he likely won't need to put up huge regular season numbers on the talent-laden Warriors. It's like when you wake up-we woke now. "We got control of that now".

Durant was the center of every drama that happened within the team or with any of his former teammates in OKC, not to mention the endless amount of finger-pointing and name-calling in social media - an avenue he's always frequented. "I still struggle with seeking approval from others sometimes, not realizing that I'm winning in life". You know what Michael Jordan went through? But that's just part of life. Don't feel upset. Don't feel embarrassed, even though you are embarrassed at times.

One of the Durant's standout quotes from the long-form piece with Bucher came when discussing the Thunder giving away No. 35, his former jersey number, to rookie guard P.J. Dozier, whom they signed to a two-way contract just before the start of the season.

Durant and the Warriors are attempting to repeat as National Basketball Association champions, and their task hasn't gotten any easier in the toughened Western Conference.
