Expect Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon to take the field in Los Angeles on Sunday.

Gordon returned to practice last week after being suspended for two seasons and dazzled his teammates, who can't wait to see if he can be the same electrifying player.

The Browns are ready to play Gordon in his first regular season game since December 2014, coach Hue Jackson said during his Monday news conference. "Oh boy, let me tell you", Jackson said Monday. The 26-year-old wideout is unlikely to see a full workload right out the gates but its clear Jackson won't hesitate to get Gordon involved in the offense.

Since his Pro Bowl year of 2013, Gordon has been suspended for 41 consecutive games dating back to the final week of the 2014 season, which was a team ban for reportedly missing a walk-through prior to a trip to Baltimore to play the Ravens. I think he is a very talented player.

The Browns (0-11) can activate Gordon at any point; if they plan to play him Sunday, he?obviously would be activated this week.

Gordon could step in as the primary target in the passing game for the Browns if he shows that he can recapture his form that saw him lead the National Football League with 1,646 receiving yards back in the 2013 campaign.

"He gives me energy, yeah, which means I am going to give [the team] energy, which means they will have energy", Jackson said.

"If he does that, then he'll be doing just what we need him to do".
