Actor Vishal was all set to contest in the upcoming elections from RK Nagar but in an intriguing turn of events, his nomination has been rejected after initially being accepted. "God save my beloved country from this anarchy!" If the two proposers meet the RO before 3 pm and agree with what Vishal had said, his candidature would be re-scrutinized. "Filing nomination or reversal of rejection is secondary to me" he added. He said, 'I am Vishal, I hope u r aware of wats happening in the RK Nagar Election process in Chennai.

On other day, Vishal wrote a public post (on his Twitter page) to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Kovind seeking the justice. Vishal plans to move court against the election commission's decision but hasn't given up hope that justice will prevail.

He also tweeted: "5th Dec 2016, Amma died, 5th Dec, 2017, Democracy died..."

RK Nagar Bypoll is the talk of all over Tamil Nadu, after the sad demise of Former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa and the nomination filings for the same created much more drama sequences on last few days.

The actor said he was also consulting legal experts.

He said the rejection of his nomination was pre-planned and the two proposers (Sumathi and Deepan) were threatened. Out of the 59 candidates, 47 are independents.

A total of 145 people had filed their nomination papers of that 72 nominations have been accepted and 73 have been rejected. Till the deadline of withdrawal of nomination on Thursday, 13 affidavits were withdrawn.

That makes the seat a prestige battle for the AIADMK, which has fielded a senior leader, E Madhusudhanan, who has represented RK Nagar before in the state assembly.

Vishal, it must be recalled, had stood up to support his friend superstar Vijay when the latter's film "Mersal" was attacked by certain sections of the Bharatiya Janata Party supporters.

The seat has fallen vacant due to the death of sitting member and then chief minister Jayalalithaa on December 5 a year ago.
