Authorities respond to shooting at high school in New Mexico

Local media reports a shooter is down, and at least two other people have been shot.

The San Juan County Sheriff Department is responding to a shooting at Aztec High School in Aztec, NM.

The shooter is in custody, but it was not immediately known how many people were wounded, according to KRQE'.

"Aztec High School is locked down and being evacuated". Please avoid the area. "We will update this as we learn more", the post said. The extent of injuries in the school is unknown at this time.

Per the Bloomfield Police Department, there are officers at all of the schools there.

Bloomfield and Farmington High Schools are also on preventative lockdown.
