According to a new report by Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated's Extra Mustard, Vince McMahon is a huge proponent of the "Woken Matt Hardy" character, as Vince views this as a way for WWE to cash-in on an already popular gimmick that was made famous elsewhere. It seems that Vince McMahon has given his full support on the character which started to surface completely on the November 27th edition of Monday Night Raw.

From the moment The Hardy Boyz debuted at WrestleMania 33, speculation ran wild about the potential for the arrival of Broken Matt Hardy to the WWE Universe.

Despite the general belief that McMahon does not view Hardy as a top star, the two go back over two decades and McMahon has enough trust in Hardy to give him the opportunity to get the character over within WWE.

Ed Nordholm, President of Anthem Wrestling which owns Impact Wrestling, still controls the rights to the "Broken Universe" which Matt created despite the fact that the Hardys believe they have ownership of it. They may do another promo video similar to this week's or have some sort of in-person confrontation in the ring.

Matt Hardy finally unleashed the persona he cultivated on Impact Wrestling tonight on Raw.

Hardy and Wyatt interrupted each other several times during tonight's promo before Matt ended it by sentencing Wyatt to "Deletion!"

This is a very good sign for fans of the Broken Universe who were anxious about what WWE Creative would do with this wonderful character.
