'Embarrassed' Elway: No changes to Broncos coaching staff this season

The Broncos actually started the season 3-1 going into their Week 5 bye.

"Everybody had their individual mindset to go out there, and not give up, and play, and do the best they can possibly do and try to take their game to the next level and keep working, we would be OK with that", Miller said. Plus, they just got clobbered by the Dolphins, who are certainly worse than the Jets. If this was any other team (well, nearly any other team *cough Cleveland cough*), this game would be as good as won. "We didn't show up today". He proved last week that the Jets were capable of winning from behind, this week he has to prove they can win on the road. The Broncos are a complete mess.

The Broncos have lost eight games in a row, nine of their last 10, and by some metrics, including Football Outsiders, they now grade out as the worst team in the NFL. Their once-great defense has struggled mightily.

If you are still of the belief that the Jets can win the playoffs, you should be rooting for them to win this week at Denver. Their O/U trends are 5-1 in their last 6 games overall, 0-4 in their last 4 games vs. a team with a losing record, 1-4 in their last 5 games following a win and in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a losing home record, and 4-11-2 in their last 17 Week 14 games. And that's no small victory. The Broncos have weapons at the skill positions but until they find a capable quarterback to spread the ball around, they will be in trouble. Siemian has been a turnover machine.

There has been a revolving door under center for the Broncos this season as they've given the nod to Trevor Siemian, who will start against the Jets, Brock Osweiler and second-year gunslinger Paxton Lynch. If the Jets put pressure on him, he will make mistakes. The Jets haven't scored a defensive touchdown since October of 2013 when then-Jets-safety Antonio Allen intercepted Tom Brady for a touchdown. The Broncos rank 31 in the National Football League after allowing an average of 26.3 points per game this season. But the Broncos are 31st in scoring defense (26.3 points per game), so the opportunities to get into the end zone will be there. Denver is lost on offense, atrocious on special teams, and slowly capitulating on defense. "That's one of his lessons he's passed on to me".
