Fergie Recalls Crystal Meth Addiction

Fergie detailed her experience turning to the church, but given the extreme nature of her addiction, being chased out for her erratic behavior, as her hallucinations had her convinced the Central Intelligence Agency and Federal Bureau of Investigation were following her.

The 42 year old singer, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, has previously been frank about her battle with drugs such as ecstasy and crystal meth, although she has now been clean for the last 18 years.

'I was basically hallucinating on a daily basis.'

It took a year after getting off that drug for the chemicals in my brain to settle so that I stopped seeing things.

Reflecting on the intense consequences of the drug, the California native said: 'I'd just be sitting there, seeing a random bee or a bunny'.

"They tried to kick me out, because I was moving down the aisles in this insane way, as I thought there was an infrared camera in the church trying to check for my body".

'I remember thinking: 'If I walk outside, and the SWAT team's out there.' I walked out of the church, and there was no one there but me in a parking lot.


Fergie conquered her demons and now lives a healthy lifestyle. The "M.I.L.F.$" singer has been candid about her substance abuse in the past, but as she revealed to iNews, it got a lot scarier than many people realize. I thank the day it happened to me. Because that's my strength, my faith, my hope for something better, ' she added.

The mother of 4-year-old son Axl is grateful she eventually snapped out of her drug-induced phase.

"Because both Josh and I are working full-time right now".

The beauty was recording her new album Double Dutchess, which she released two months ago, in the middle of splitting from her husband and she used the heartache and pain she was going through to help write some of the tracks. That's why we wanted to find our footing with our separation before we announced it publicly: "to make sure we really got it together for our kid", she said.

"It's so incredible, I know", she concluded about finally turning her life around.
